Four-Way Forklift L-Frame Glass Rack with Top Lifting Lugs
A configurable Grack glass transport rack for plant logistics and curtain-wall jobsites. The base can be engineered for two-way or four-way forklift entry, while four top lifting pins provide a defined crane-handling interface. Add retaining bars for mixed glass sizes. Fork width, pallet-truck clearance, lifting gear and load geometry must be confirmed for each order.
Confirm My Fork Width & Lifting Setup
One rack, two handling interfaces—when the equipment is specified correctly
Grack is a reusable L-shape glass holding rack for vertical storage, internal transfer, delivery and return logistics. This configuration is aimed at teams that move loaded racks with a forklift or pallet truck inside the plant and then use a tower crane at the construction site. Four-way entry is an option, not a default feature on every Grack model. The rack, glass load, lifting accessories and site procedure must be reviewed together before production.
Specify the rack around your equipment—not a universal fork width
The figures below separate a documented reference configuration from project-dependent options. They are not a substitute for an equipment and load review.
| Артикул | Documented reference / option | Что необходимо уточнить |
|---|---|---|
| Продукт | Grack L-frame glass storage and transport rack | Single-sided or another Grack configuration according to the glass flow |
| 14792 reference size | 2,000 × 1,300 × 1,300 mm | Final rack envelope, usable glass depth and truck/container layout |
| 14792 reference load | 2,000 kg | Glass type, load distribution, center of gravity and operating condition |
| Forklift entry | Two-way or four-way entry available as a project option | Fork width, fork thickness, fork spacing, entry direction and clearances |
| Pallet truck /地牛 | May be considered where the base channel and floor route allow it | Pallet-truck dimensions, turning space, floor condition and loaded weight |
| Crane interface | Four top lifting pins for simultaneous four-point lifting when specified | Crane capacity, sling type, hook/shackle fit, lifting angle and site method |
| Mixed-size glass | Optional retaining bars / separators | Panel sizes, batch grouping, separator positions and tie-down method |
| Reference loading count | 14792: about 33 units in 20GP and 78 units in 40HQ | Actual count after final dimensions, nesting method and packing plan |
| Base choice | Fixed base or casters can be quoted by application | Forklift/crane workflow, floor route, slope, maneuvering and stability needs |
| Material and finish | Q235 carbon steel; electrostatic powder coating is a common finish | Corrosion environment, color, galvanizing requirement and project specification |

Send four measurements before you order
A four-way forklift glass rack only works when the pockets match the truck and the top lugs match the lifting gear. Share the handling equipment data and the largest and smallest panel sizes so the base and retaining layout can be checked together.
- Fork width, thickness, spacing and entry height
- Crane hook or shackle details and required sling arrangement
- Panel dimensions, weight range and mixed-load plan
Four-way access below, four-point lifting above
The value of this configuration is not simply adding holes to a steel frame. The base, lifting points, glass protection and load-securing method need to work as one handling system.
How optional four-way forklift entry is designed
The base uses reinforced forklift channels so the truck can approach from the selected directions instead of being forced into one fixed aisle orientation. A documented 14792 reference uses a 2,000 × 1,300 × 1,300 mm rack with a 2,000 kg reference load and offers two-way or four-way entry as an option. That reference does not define every Grack. We confirm the actual fork opening, channel spacing, clear height and structural reinforcement against the customer’s forklift or pallet truck. Operators should enter the marked channels only; forks must not contact unsupported frame members or glass.

Why four top lifting pins must be used together
The four top lifting pins create a four-point crane interface around the L-frame. Using the four points together helps distribute lifting forces and limits the twisting load that can occur when a long, loaded frame is lifted from only one or two points. It is not permission for single-point or two-point lifting. The crane, slings, shackles, hooks, lifting angles and rated load must be checked by the responsible lifting team, and the rack must be lifted only in the approved configuration.

Retaining bars for mixed glass sizes
When one rack carries different panel widths or smaller batches, optional retaining bars or separators divide the usable face into controlled groups. Place the bars according to the confirmed panel sizes, keep the load centered, load larger panels first, and secure the group with the specified tie-down method. Bars help control movement; they do not replace a correct load plan or lifting procedure.
Casters or fixed base?
Choose a fixed base when the normal route uses a forklift, pallet truck or crane and the priority is a direct, stable load path. Consider heavy-duty casters only when the floor, route, turning radius, brakes and loaded center of gravity have been reviewed for pushing or short-distance positioning. Caster selection is project-specific; it should not be assumed that a wheeled rack is suitable for tower-crane lifting or uneven jobsite travel.
Need a four-way forklift glass rack that also fits your crane plan?
Send the forklift fork dimensions, pallet-truck details if applicable, lifting gear information, panel size and weight range, required retaining layout, and whether the rack stays fixed or needs casters. GSR will review the handling interfaces before confirming the Grack configuration.
