FAQ: How Does Mgrack Protect Slabs from Steel Contact Damage?

2026年5月19日 | By | In FAQ

Many buyers are less worried about whether a rack can hold the load than whether it will quietly damage the product. With fragile glass, stone, or panel materials, one bad contact point can create chips, scratches, or edge stress before the load even leaves the workshop.

Mgrack is designed around controlled contact. The load is supported on a stable two-sided frame, while the product-facing areas can be protected with rubber strips or pads to keep steel away from the slab surface.

What usually causes slab damage on a rack?

The main causes are hard steel contact, unstable leaning posture, and uncontrolled movement during pushing, forklift transfer, or lifting.

How does Mgrack reduce scratching risk?

All key product contact areas can be fitted with rubber protection. This creates a softer interface between the rack and the slab and helps prevent direct metal-to-product abrasion.

Is rubber protection enough by itself?

No. Protection also depends on frame geometry, stable loading angle, and proper restraint. A good rack must support the load correctly first, then isolate the surface from damage.

How is the load kept from shifting outward?

Mgrack can work with limiting bars and ratchet straps to hold the slabs in a controlled position. That is especially useful during internal transfer or truck loading.

Which industries care most about this?

Glass processors, solar panel plants, stone fabricators, and door or window manufacturers all care because surface damage quickly becomes scrap or rework cost.
