Automotive Line-Side & ESG Packaging
A wire cage pallet collar replaces single-use cartons and wooden boxes on automotive parts lines, cutting packaging waste and cardboard fiber shedding while feeding a plant’s carbon-neutral and ESG KPIs through repeatable, fold-flat return loops.

An automotive assembly plant runs on a tight line-side rhythm: suppliers deliver sequenced parts, crews pull them into kits, and empties go back out the same dock. Every carton, wooden box, and stretch-wrap pass crosses the floor once, then becomes waste. For a plant with a published carbon-neutral target, that one-way packaging flow is a quiet, recurring liability on the ESG ledger.
Why Single-Use Cartons and Wooden Boxes Undercut Automotive ESG Targets
Cardboard and wooden packaging are bought, used once, and discarded. The waste volume is large and the carbon of producing, shipping, and landfilling it lands on the OEM’s scope-3 accounting. Worse for precision parts, corrugated boxes shed fiber and wooden crates splinter or swell near floor moisture—both contaminate machined surfaces that a clean line-side feed is supposed to protect. Stretch wrap and banding hold a load only until something pushes back, and none of it returns for a second trip.
From One-Way Boxes to a Returnable Wire Cage Pallet Collar Loop
The Mfence wire cage pallet collar turns a standard 1100×1100 (Euro pallet size) base into a rigid, reusable steel shell. Its bottomless, clip-on frame seats onto the pallet without tools or welding, so the same unit moves parts in and empties back out across the line-side and inter-factory loop. Instead of buying a fresh carton for every shipment, the plant keeps a pool of collars in circulation—folded flat on the return leg and reloaded at the supplier. That closed loop is what lets the packaging line show up as avoided waste, not new emissions, in the ESG report.

Built to Survive the Loop: Q235 Mesh, Hot Dip Galvanized, Fold Flat
The collar is made from Q235 steel with a welded wire mesh panel (4 mm wire, 100×100 mesh) in a rectangular tube frame, then hot dip galvanized for a surface that tolerates daily plant-floor and wash-down exposure. A reusable metal collar outlasts dozens of single-use boxes, so its cost amortizes to a low per-trip figure while producing no cardboard fiber and no wooden waste. When the parts leave, the unit folds flat to 2300×1100×140 mm at a 47–48 kg self weight, shrinking the empty-return volume and the fuel burned bringing it home.

The Payoff: Cleaner Parts, Lower Per-Trip Cost, Measurable ESG Gains
Four-way fork entry and stacking feet keep handling square on a pallet truck or forklift, and the open mesh gives crews visibility of the load without breaking the seal. The result is a line-side feed that stays fiber-free, a packaging pool whose per-use cost drops with every cycle, and a documented cut in single-use waste that the plant can point to when reporting carbon-neutral and ESG progress. A galvanized steel wire cage pallet collar does not just replace the box—it removes the box from the ledger.
