A welded wire mesh pallet collar holds parts in a rigid galvanized steel frame with no wood dust or splinters, protecting automotive interior components through washable, reusable cycles.
The surface finish is the product
For automotive interior components — dash substrates, door panels, trim, seat parts — the visible surface is the deliverable. A single scratch, a fiber pressed into the grain, or a splinter lodged in a clip channel turns a saleable part into a reject. As these parts move between supplier cells, paint-adjacent lines and assembly plants, the packaging has to protect the finish and stay clean itself.
That is exactly where the usual packaging fails. A Welded wire mesh pallet collar is specified when the buyer can no longer accept what cardboard and wood do to the part and to the line.
Why cardboard and wood fall short
Disposable cartons look cheap until they collapse. Stacked loads crush the box, the part deflects, and the corner that should be square arrives dented. Worse for cleanliness, corrugated sheds fibers that cling to adhesive and paint faces. Wooden collars and pallets add a second failure mode: splinters and fine dust that migrate into clip channels, actuators and clean staging areas, forcing extra wipe-down stations and line-side rework.
Stretch wrap alone gives no rigid constraint at all — it only holds a loose load together while the contents rattle against each other. None of these options is washable, so once soiled they are discarded, not recovered.
How the welded wire mesh pallet collar holds the line
The fix is a rigid, enclosed, fiber-free shell. Mfence builds the unit from a 40×40 rectangular tube frame with a welded wire mesh panel — Q235 steel, 4mm wire diameter, 100×100 mesh — so the contents are physically constrained and external impact is cushioned by the frame instead of the part. There is no wood, no paper, and therefore no splinter or fiber to shed.
The galvanized steel body is hot dip galvanized for durability and is washable: a soiled collar is hosed down and returned to the loop, instead of being scrapped. A 400mm half-opening door gives partial access without breaking the stack, and latch locks keep the enclosure sealed through handling.

Cleaner than wood, sized for the part
For high-cleanliness automotive interior work, the comparison that matters is against the wooden collar — and galvanized steel simply stays cleaner. It does not splinter, does not dust, and does not absorb oils or moisture the way wood does. At 1000mm effective height on a 1100×1100 case and a 47–48kg self weight, it builds a 3D enclosure on the pallet without overburdening it, and it is sized to the component family rather than forcing the part into a generic box.

Result: parts arrive clean and undamaged
The outcome is a Welded wire mesh pallet collar that protects the finish, sheds no contamination, and survives wash-and-return cycles that destroy cardboard and wood. Parts reach the line clean and undamaged, reject rates from packaging fall, and the same enclosed galvanized collar keeps serving mixed interior-component families across plants — quieter on the floor, cleaner on the part.
