Mgrack loading comparison | double-sided A-frame glass rack
A 40HQ figure is not a discount tier. The 90, 144 and 180 sets recorded for Mgrack projects describe three different A-frame configurations, while 20GP records of 36 and 60 sets follow the same rule: compare the rack configuration before comparing the number.
When a supplier says “90 sets per 40HQ” and another says “180,” the first question is not which quote is cheaper. It is: are they quoting the same rack? For a mobile glass storage rack, the loading count is the result of outside dimensions, usable storage width, handling interfaces, nesting method and packaging. It is not a universal capacity rating for Mgrack.
This matters to purchasing teams and export sales staff who are asked to guarantee a fixed container quantity. The examples below are project records for specific configurations. They are useful for building an estimate, but they must not be merged, averaged or presented as three grades of one standard model.
First separate the 40HQ records: 90, 144 and 180
The 90-set record belongs to configuration 15402: 2000 × 1120 × 2100 mm, with a 310 mm single-side storage width, 2,000 kg rated capacity and a recorded empty weight of 164 kg excluding rubber. It has double-sided forklift entry and a top lifting plate. A pressure bar can be added, but it takes space on one side. The empty rack can be stacked at approximately two layers in the cited arrangement, subject to local height limits. This is a substantial mobile A-frame panel storage trolley, so its 40HQ estimate cannot be compared directly with a smaller rack.

Why the 144-set stone rack is a different calculation
The 144-set 40HQ record is for the stone-rack configuration in project 14629, not for configuration 15402. Its recorded dimensions are 2150 × 600 × 800 mm, with a 1-ton capacity, 180 mm single-side usable width, an 8 mm bottom steel plate, and a C-channel with I-shaped rubber strip. The recorded weight is 117 ± 3 kg without rubber or 125 ± 3 kg with rubber. The same project record gives 60 sets in a 20GP. Its narrower footprint and different material-handling purpose change the nesting and loading result. The number is therefore a property of that stone slab handling design, not a better price-performance grade of the 90-set rack.

The 180-set figure belongs to a door-frame rack
The 180-set 40HQ record is the second 14629 configuration: an A-frame for doors, recorded at 1100 × 1200 × 2500 mm. Its single-side usable width is 420 mm for three doors. The referenced door is 1010 × 135 × 2200 mm, with a 2210 mm storage height. The frame includes a 110 mm wide by 40 mm high top protector connected by bolts, and forklift sleeves of 200 × 80 mm with a 610 mm center distance. Its recorded weight is 115 ± 3 kg without rubber or 143 ± 3 kg with rubber. The 180 figure reflects this door-loading design and its packing arrangement. It must not be used to price a glass rack, stone rack or 15402 configuration.

Four questions to put beside every loading number
- Which container? Mark 20GP or 40HQ. The cited 15402 record is 36 sets in a 20GP and 90 in a 40HQ; the 14629 stone-rack record is 60 in a 20GP and 144 in a 40HQ. The door-frame record cites 180 in a 40HQ, not a 20GP result.
- Which rack configuration? Match the drawing, outside dimensions, single-side width, load rating, rubber arrangement and handling interfaces. Confirm whether the rack is for glass, stone slabs or doors; those are different loading problems.
- How is it handled? Confirm forklift sleeve size and center distance, lifting points, caster arrangement, pressure bars and local aisle or height limits. A lifting plate, fork access or added pressure bar can change the usable packing envelope.
- Stretch film or wood crate? Stretch film plus straps is the lighter reference arrangement for nested empty racks. A wood crate may improve protection, but the project note gives 90 yuan per square metre as a reference price—not a fixed quotation—and states that it reduces the loaded quantity. Recalculate the packing plan rather than carrying over the open-rack count.
