glass racking system for heavy jumbo glass storage, crane transfer, and export packing.

When a glass load reaches jumbo size, the job is no longer simple storage. A single rack may carry several tons of rigid, brittle material, and the real failure point is usually not the glass itself but the handling path around it. Forklift vibration, crane sway, road shock, and a bad angle can turn one move into a full breakage event. That is why the right glass racking system has to solve the load path, the contact path, and the transport path at the same time.

Grack was built for that exact problem. It is a heavy-duty L-shape structure for warehouse glass organization, factory internal logistics, and glass truck delivery system use, but it is also stable enough for long-distance export packing. In practice, that means the rack must keep the panel seated, keep the frame rigid, and keep metal away from the glass surface.

Why heavy glass breaks during transfer

Most breakage starts with movement, not impact. If a frame flexes under load, the support angle changes, the panel slides forward, and the contact points become concentrated stress points. That is especially dangerous for large tempered glass and insulated glass units, because a small shift can create a chain reaction across the full stack. The jobsite image shows the rack under crane handling, where any weak weld, poor balance, or bad tie-down quickly becomes a safety risk.

Why Grack fits the load instead of forcing the load to fit the rack

Grack uses Q235 carbon structural steel as the main body, with tube and channel sizes that are designed for real industrial abuse, not showroom display. Typical members include 50×50×3.0 mm square tube, 50×25×3.0 mm rectangular tube, and 50×25×2.0 mm C-channel. The welded joints are full-penetration, which is why the structure is meant to resist deformation under repeated lifting and transport cycles. Depending on model, the single-rack capacity ranges from 750 kg to 2500 kg.

The geometry matters just as much as the steel. The inside face is set at a precise 90° angle, while the base carries a rearward tilt so the rack uses gravity to hold the glass back into position. Add the rubber strip barrier and the dedicated tie-down points, and the load is isolated from raw steel contact and locked against movement. That combination is what reduces anti-breakage risk and supports anti-tipping design in real handling conditions.

What the photos prove in real use

The hero image shows a jumbo architectural glass load standing deep in the rack, which is the first proof point: the frame is meant to support oversized panels without relying on improvised bracing. The crane shot shows that the system can move from floor handling to overhead handling without losing geometry. The container image proves the third requirement: the rack must survive export packing and long-haul vibration while keeping dense, returnable transport efficient. That is the difference between a storage frame and a real glass transport rack.

What to check before choosing a glass racking system

  • Match the rated load to the heaviest panel and the actual lifting method, not the average piece.
  • Verify the frame is fully welded Q235 steel, with no glue-only or spot-fix contact points.
  • Confirm the inner angle and rear tilt keep the glass self-seated under vibration and road shock.
  • Make sure the support surface is rubber-lined and the rack can be strapped, lifted, and shipped safely.

If your operation handles jumbo or high-value glass, Grack gives you a glass racking system that is built for storage, crane transfer, and export transport. It is the practical way to cut breakage risk, protect surface quality, and keep the line moving.
