You spend millions on cutting-edge LiSEC or Glaston production lines to ensure your glass is flawless. Your optical distortion is low, and your edging is perfect. But quality control shouldn’t stop at your loading dock.
The harsh reality for many Glass Fabricators is that the “Last Mile” to the customer is where profit dies. A single scratch on a sheet of architectural Low-E glass, or a chipped edge on a quartz slab, leads to rejected shipments, expensive remanufacturing, and a damaged reputation.
The Collapsible Glass Storage Transport Rack is engineered to be the “Safe Room” for your products. Unlike generic racks that rely on glued-on foam, our system uses structural engineering to isolate your fragile assets from the brutal vibrations of the road.
The “Glue” Trap: Why Cheap Racks Fail
Walk into any competitor’s warehouse, and you will see the same problem: rubber strips hanging loosely from the steel frames. Most rack manufacturers cut costs by using standard industrial glue to attach protective pads.
It works fine—until it rains, or until the summer heat melts the adhesive. Once that rubber peels off, your pristine glass is resting directly against bare carbon steel. The result? catastrophic edge stress and inevitable breakage.
We take a different approach. We don’t believe in glue. The protective profiles on every Agrack are mechanically secured using self-threading pins and bolts. This ensures that the protection stays exactly where it’s supposed to be, whether it’s year 1 or year 10 of service.
The Science of “Soft” Support
Glass doesn’t break because it’s weak; it breaks because of stress concentration. When a delivery truck hits a pothole, the shockwave travels through the truck bed, into the rack, and straight into the bottom edge of your glass.
To counter this, we developed a specialized 10mm thick rubber profile with an internal steel core.
- The Rubber: Provides the necessary cushion to absorb high-frequency road vibrations, preventing the dreaded “micro-cracks” that cause delayed failure.
- The Steel Core: Prevents the heavy weight of the glass (often exceeding 1,500 kg) from cutting through the rubber over time.
This hybrid design offers the perfect balance: soft enough to cradle sensitive Low-E coatings, yet tough enough to support two tons of stone slabs without compressing to zero.
Secure for Transport, Safe for People
Asset protection isn’t just about the cargo; it’s about the people handling it. Unstable racks are a major safety hazard on construction sites.
The Collapsible Glass Storage Transport Rack features integrated Solid Steel Rope Hooks welded directly to the frame. This allows your team to ratchet-strap the load securely, making the glass and the rack a single, rigid unit. Furthermore, our heavy-duty backstop prevents the deadly “toppling” effect when straps are released for unloading.
Designed for the “Zero-Defect” Promise
Your customers don’t care about your logistics challenges; they only care that their windows arrive on time and in one piece. By upgrading to a professional transport system, you aren’t just buying steel racks—you are buying an insurance policy for your product quality.
Eliminate the risk of metal-to-glass contact. Stop accepting “acceptable breakage rates.” Make zero-defect delivery your new standard.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is the rubber padding safe for soft-coat Low-E glass?
Yes. The EPDM rubber compound we use is non-marking and formulated to be chemically stable. It will not react with or stain sensitive glass coatings, making it safe for high-performance architectural glass.
2. How do you prevent the rubber from being cut by heavy loads?
This is our key advantage. Inside the 10mm rubber strip, there is an embedded steel plate. This core distributes the weight of the glass or stone, preventing the sharp edges from slicing through the rubber to the metal frame below.
3. Can I replace the rubber strips if they eventually wear out?
Absolutely. Because we use mechanical fasteners (screws) instead of glue, your maintenance team can easily unscrew the old strip and install a new one in minutes, extending the life of the rack indefinitely.
4. Is the rack stable enough for uneven construction sites?
Yes. The base is constructed from rigid heavy-gauge steel tubing, designed to resist twisting. Coupled with the secure lashing rings for straps, the load remains stable even when a forklift is traversing rough gravel or uneven ground at a job site.
5. Does this rack work for curved or irregular glass?
While the standard rack is optimized for flat panels, the open side design allows for some flexibility. For specialized automotive or highly curved architectural glass, please contact our engineering team for a custom support configuration.
